The writer is challenging a new life. She enjoys the present though nothing is guaranteed.Instead of the writer’s detailed introduction, her favorite saying will say her well.Ideals are like stars: You will not succeed in touching them with your hands, but like the seafaring man on the ocean desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them, you reach your destiny. SOME English, a small group consisting of four graduates of the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation (GSIT) at Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS). They desire to implement any projects because they want something to help them grow on their road to English translation mastery. Their first project was to publish an English-translated book. As they are reluctant to take on the translation of prodigious amounts of content, they have worked on translation to the extent that their daily lives were not too disrupted. The book is the story of SSOY, an author and one of our translators, before and after leaving the company. Among the travails laid out in her journey, one related to the preparation of the GSIT entrance exam caught the translators’ attention. The book is recommended for foreigners eager to catch a glimpse before entering the GSIT in Korea and anyone interested in translation and interpretation. For the latter, this could provide a fascinating comparison between the Korean and English versions.
